LinkedIn plays a huge part when it comes to searching for a new job. Once your CV has been submitted to a potential employer be it via a direct application or a recruitment agency, one of the first things the employer will do is to search for you on LinkedIn and Social Media.  LinkedIn allows you to search for jobs, post your digital CV, connect with individuals and allows you to be searched for by future employers, recruitment consultants and so on.  The search aspect helps to narrow the parameters making the search more relevant to potential employers. You want to stand out from the competition and be the one who gets noticed, so how do you go about this and how should you best construct your profile? First and foremost, your profile must be clear and as many of the other relevant sections of your profile must be filled in as this makes it easier for the relevant industry experts and potential hirers to find you. Make sure you include a background image and a professional photo of yourself.
